Greedy Lama is predominantly an online vegan supermarket; selling all sorts of vegan products and ranges, but they have now launched a Lama box – an online subscription box.
The Greedy Lama boxes can either be ordered as a one off (£10.00) which then starts a rolling subscription, or you can pre-order a bundle of up to 6 months in advance, which means you can save around £12.00 across the whole 6 months. Once your order is placed, the boxes are shipped on the first working day of every month.
The first thing I noticed about the box and it’s contents is that all the box packaging is recyclable – hallelujah! It comes in a cardboard box with paper inside to protect the contents. That scored some points with me straight away as other subscription boxes I have come across before tend to be filled with unnecessary plastic.
The Greedy Lama box has a great range of products so there are plenty of different options to try. Mine had a few little snack bits, but also a soup, oatcakes and some coconut milk for cooking with. It was another plus to have a box that wasn’t all about sweet treats – of course there were some, but it was nice to have a varied selection of things to try. These boxes are perfect if you want to dabble in finding some new vegan brands and products to try out rather than just relying on the same old brands over and over again (guilty as charged).
Inside this box were also some super cute little vegan themed badges which I loved and my favourite bit of all – the “I visited because of your vegan options” cards. This idea is so lush! It’s such a cute way to show appreciation for vegan options in restaurants, without being too pushy. I’ll definitely be keeping these in my wallet to drop off at places with good options and to encourage them to have more!
My favourite food items from the Greedy Lama box were the Anandas vegan wagon wheel and the Biona organics maple syrup waffle (stroopwaffles!) Having found out about Anandas through Greedy Lama I’ll definitely be adding them to my regulars list!
Overall, I would really recommend these boxes to anyone wanting to dabble in vegan products and find some new brands to shop – it was a great way for me to discover new things without spending a fortune in my local supermarkets!
As well as very kindly gifting me a subscription box to try, the lovely humans at Greedy Lama also gave me discount code to share with you all – just go to their website and type in LAMANICOLE at the checkout to get 15% off your first box!
